Spring is Allergy Season

springblossomOh, the joys of spring! Birds singing, pink cherry blossoms, yellow forsythia and colourful tulips just around the corner. I love this time of year, playing in the garden, looking to see what is starting to bloom. Of course the only thing I don’t like about spring is pollen and the seasonal allergies that come along with it.

If you are like me, you have the classic signs of allergies; watery, itchy eyes, and a stuffy, runny nose. So, at the first sign of allergy season, I suggest you start to drink more lemon water. Lemon is an astringent and shrinks the swollen mucous cavities. When you get a chance, place a cold stone on your third eye and long your nose, beside each nostril, to help clear the sinus. For headaches place a cold stone at the back of your neck. Get your lymphatic moving. Rub between your largest toe and the fourth toe back and forth to get the blood flowing. Or of course, you could come see me for your “Spring cleaning”.
